TIBCO is the name of the company that purchased the WebFOCUS product and incorporated it to its suite of data management and analytic products.
Information Builders Incorporated (IBI), is the name of company that produced the tool, WebFOCUS, as branded and named by IBI.
Not if you access it from any UNM network. Remote access from non-UNM networks and unsecured connections will require UNM VPN, however. It is recommended, at this time, to download the VPN Agent. There are issues for some reports when using the SSL VPN (web based VPN). For more information see Fastinfo answer 7819.
If you access MyReports from the GlobalProtect web VPN (unmvpn.unm.edu) tile you will have access to a large majority of reports as if you were using the desktop VPN client.
However, there may be interactive reports, dashboards, and certain InfoAssist features that will not work. For example, in InfoAssist, file uploads are blocked due to browser security protocols (cross site scripting protection). You may also see individual widgets that show a loading spinner that never loads.
For full access to MyReports features, installing the desktop VPN client is the solution. For more information see Fastinfo answer 7819.
MyReports is web browser based, you will need a web browser, Internet connection and proper BAR access. For those accessing the tool remotely, not within the UNM campus infrastructure, you will need to adhere and comply with VPN requirements.

While most MyReports users do not require intensive training, some training is actually required, Finance for example. There are a number of training resources available including user forums. For more information see the Training pages for Student Reporting or Finance Reporting, also refer to the FastInfo Answer 6907.
Access to MyReports is based on security roles. Therefore, in some cases, you may need to request a new BAR role for some of the newer reports. In other cases, your existing roles will be carried over to MyReports. Please refer to Support for more information. Finance users, please refer to FastInfo Answer 6906 for more information.
Access MyReports through the MyUNM portal within the UNM Business Applications Channel with the other reporting tools. MyReports is browser based, so you will not need to install additional software to access MyReports. Also refer to Finance FastInfo Answer 6893. (Rev. 6.24)
Select the log off button, then close the browser window. Do not rely on, or log off using the X box in the upper right of the web browser window (or otherwise closing the window), or browser tab.
Yes, first check this site under the training tab, followed by each department's section, such as the Finance for corresponding job aids. Support and training is provided by specific departments, see the Support page for details.

MyReports is directly linked to ODS and Banner data and does not require any additional user interaction to access ODS and Banner data.

The tool allows the user to export data into the following formats: Excel, HTML, Active HTML, and PDF.

Please note it is recommended that you first review the available ad-hoc reports to determine if any of the new or converted reports meet your needs. If one of the ad-hoc reports will not meet your needs, or if you need additional customization, then you will need to rewrite your report. Yes, IBI offers an online user pages known as ibi Community. The community has articles, forums, and a knowledge base. There is also an events calendar for webinars and in person events.
